Town of Prescott CAO Announces Retirement

Town of Prescott CAO Announces Retirement

(PRESCOTT) Town of Prescott Chief Administrative Officer Pierre Mercier has announced his retirement, effective May 31, 2018.

"I would like to thank Pierre for his service these past two years to the Town of Prescott," said Mayor Brett Todd. "I wish him all the best for many happy and healthy years of retirement."

Mr. Mercier came to Prescott as CAO in March of 2016, after serving as CAO in the neighbouring Township of Augusta since 2013. Prior to that, he had over 25 years of experience in municipal planning and economic development in the private and public sector.

"I would like to express my most sincere appreciation to the Mayor, Council and Town staff for the honour and opportunity provided to me over the last few years to serve as the CAO. My only regret is that I will not be here to witness the numerous positive and exciting changes coming for this dynamic municipality."
Council will be meeting in early May to discuss filling the soon-to-be vacant role. Further details will be released in the near future.
