Overwhelming, to the point of being emotionally moving, is the only way to describe the amount of positive feedback I have received on the rebirth of the Journal. Other than a singular concern about the slight change in name, the amount of email, messages and texts I have been sent are encouraging beyond words. Thank you.
Aside from the minor variance in the name, we are still the Journal. Our mandate remains to be what our mandate has always been.
We strive to be YOUR Journal. Your voice in the community. A platform for local events, news and sports.
Perhaps rather than voice, I should say "voices". The Journal philosophy has always been to seek success by immersing itself in the community it serves...by serving from within. That is why we place such huge value in bringing you weekly features from hometown columnists like Tom Van Dusen, Bill Lower, Kirsha Hutchcroft and Susan Vallom and our three mayors.
The South Grenville Journal is not about what Doug Ford is doing and who is fighting for a wildcard spot in the NHL playoffs. The South Grenville Journal is about hearing the latest news from MPP Clark and how the Rangers are the best damned team in Eastern Ontario.
The South Grenville Journal is about what is going on here in your hometown.
We are back in print next week.
